Various inflator options are available for the BC2. You can choose between the Ai high-performance power inflator or the SS1 inflator. Both are available in stainless steel and an even lighter titanium version.
With the Ai (Air-inflator), the BC1 BCD can be inflated pneumatically via an inlet button (classic version) or by mouth, and deflated via a drain button. It connects to one of the low-pressure ports on your primary first stage. A specially designed quick-connect coupling is included with your Ai. The Ai is available in stainless steel and a weight-optimized titanium version.
The SS1 isn't just an inflator, it's a full-fledged second stage. So, you no longer need an octopus, or rather, one is already attached to your BC! Key components are machined from 316 stainless steel or titanium, ensuring high corrosion resistance, reliability, and a long service interval. The SS1 automatic regulator boasts the breathing characteristics of a primary regulator. If your BC2 is equipped with the SS1, you already have a full-fledged backup regulator.
